Provisions for Health and hygiene, and 2021 operational requirements.

2020 created many unprecedented challenges for Stocks Hotel and we were required to adapt, amend, and change many of our traditional operating procedures.

As we plan for 2021 and a cautious return to some form of normality, we are pleased to confirm the current position at Stocks.

The Island of Sark thankfully remains Covid-free. However, at Stocks we would still like to respect the core principles of “hands, face, space” wherever and whenever possible. Our team have reviewed all our hotel health & safety procedures and we have adapted our standards and protocols of protection and hygiene at our hotel to ensure the health, safety and welfare or customers and employees.

We will continue to review our procedures according to the requirements of the Guernsey & Sark authorities and inform guests and our employees of any new procedures.

Above all else we want our guests to feel as comfortable and as welcome as they would in their own home. We have reviewed all our procedures so you can feel completely relaxed and thoroughly enjoy your stay.

One of the biggest changes we have made is to introduce a 2 night minimum stay policy from 2021. We implemented this during the pandemic of 2020, and have come to appreciate the environmental and operational benefits this brings.

We have continued to try and reduce the use of consumables and single use amenities throughout the hotel and for environmental reasons we would encourage guests to bring their own toiletries, shampoos, and soaps.

We will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for most of the season predominantly in our poolside bistro dining area. In addition to our standard menu we also offer daily changing specials. The evening dinner menu will also be served in our main dining room.

Reservations for non-residents diners are essential.

The swimming pool is reserved exclusively for resident guests. However, subject to availability, non-resident lunch guests can use the pool between 11am and 3pm.

Sun loungers are only available for hotel residents and are not allowed around the pool.

Pool towels are available for hotel residents in their bedrooms and we would ask they be returned to your room and not left around the pool. Towels are not available for non-resident guests.

Our horse & carriage service is available for 1 or 2 hour tours and taxi journeys. Please book in advance via the hotel reception desk.

The hotel gym is available for hotel resident guests between 8am and 6pm daily, please sign in and out via the reception desk. Our massage facility is no longer available.
