Relaxed, expert tuition from Royal College of Art graduate and Sarkee Rosanne Guille MA.  Rosanne has been teaching drawing and painting for fifteen years and is a professional artist.  Her watercolours are inspired by the wildlife and stunningly rugged landscape of Sark which she sells from her gallery on the island.  She is also the driving force behind the Artists for Nature Foundation’s current project which is based on Sark.

For three hours each day Rosanne will guide you gently through subjects such as colour mixing, watercolour techniques and working outdoors ‘en plein air’ (weather permitting).  Stocks Hotel has its own Art Room which is where the studio-based lessons will be held, but Sark is an artist’s paradise and once students have gained an understanding of watercolour, they will get the chance to produce their very own painting of Sark to take home.

This course is open to complete beginners or more experienced painters who just want to ‘brush up’ on their skills. Partners who are non painters will be able to walk, cycle or take a carriage to explore the island or just take time to relax in beautiful surroundings of Stocks…

Come and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill in an island which has inspired generations of artists from William Toplis to Mervyn Peake. Visit our Gallery page to view some of the lovely island scenes as well as examples of Rosanne’s art.
