The island of Sark lies in the Bay of St Malo; approximately 90 miles due south of Weymouth in Dorset, England; 20 miles west of Normandy and 40 miles north of Brittany in France.

Sark is actually situated in the centre of the British Channel Islands; approximately 5 miles south-east of Herm, 8 miles east of Guernsey, 15 miles north-west of Jersey and 20 miles south of Alderney.

Stocks is conveniently located just 20 minutes from the Sark harbour; 10 minutes from the nearest bay; 10 minutes from the Avenue (Sark village) and 10 minutes from the spectacular La Coupee.

The hotel can easily be found in the heart of Sark at the confluence of two sunny, south-facing valleys above an old smugglers cove. Please follow the instructions detailed on this page.

The property is surrounded by acres of woodland, meadows and landscaped gardens.

Our luggage porter meets all scheduled ferries and we transfer luggage from the Sark harbour to the hotel. We are the only independent hotel on Sark to offer this as a complimentary service. Please ensure that your luggage is clearly labelled for ‘Stocks’ with our special luggage labels.

Please advise us if you are arriving in your own boat and we will offer advice, guidance and assistance.

A tractor-drawn bus is available to transport you up the fairly steep hill to the village area. However, for those who wish to walk, there is a pleasant woodland footpath that runs parallel to harbour hill.
